    Frequently Asked Questions

Updated as of March 9, 2021

    1. Which destinations does Cebu Pacific fly to?

Our flight schedule and routes can be referred to here. This link is updated daily to reflect the latest advisories on destinations and other important reminders.

As this is a developing situation, we may reduce or add flights depending on passenger demand, travel conditions, and local government unit or international restrictions. We continue to work with national and international authorities to make sure we adhere to all regulations.

We would like to remind everyone that only guests with confirmed flights shall be allowed entry in the airport.

    2. Can I still make changes to my booking information after it’s confirmed?

Yes, we encourage our guests to keep their booking information accurate and updated at all time, so we can reach you for updates on your flight. You can easily update your information through Manage Booking.

      Here’s how –

      • Retrieve your booking by logging in to your account (for GetGo members) or by simply entering your booking reference number and surname (for non-GetGo members).
      • Click on ‘Update Guest Details’ then ‘Continue’ until you’re done.

      Here’s what you can update:

      • First Name OR Last Name only – Make sure to check on this immediately because we only allow any corrections to either field to be done ONCE and within twenty-four (24) hours from booking.
      • Birthday, Nationality, Salutations – These fields can be corrected up to two (2) hours before your flight’s scheduled time of departure (as long as you’re not yet checked-in), just be careful because corrections to these fields can only be made ONCE.
      • Contact Information – You’re allowed to update your contact number and email as many times as necessary, provided that you do this before your board the flight.

    3. How will I know if my flight is cancelled?

Flights are pushing through unless a cancellation notice is sent to your booking’s registered email address. You will also receive pre-flight and online check-in reminders at least 24 hours before your flight. You can also check this link for flight schedules. Please make sure your contact information is updated so we can reach you for updates on your flight schedule.

    4. Is it safe to fly?

Yes. Our priority has always been the safety and well-being of our guests and employees. To provide you peace of mind, we are actively coordinating with local and international authorities, regulators, and health experts, including the World Health Organization (WHO) and International Air Transport Association (IATA) to ensure each flight we operate complies with the highest standards set for safety and sanitation.

All CEB aircrafts undergo extensive daily disinfection, which includes the misting of the cabin using a disinfectant approved for Airbus jets that is effective in eradicating viruses including the Novel Coronavirus. This process also ensures that all surfaces (such as passenger seats, overhead bins and cargo compartments) are covered and sanitized.

    5. How clean is the air inside the aircraft?

Our fleet of Airbus jets are equipped with High Efficiency Particulate Arrestor (HEPA) filters that are capable of filtering microscopic bacteria and virus clusters, including the Novel Coronavirus with 99.99% efficiency, like what is used in hospital operating rooms.

Similarly, our ATR fleet also has an Environment Control System (ECS) that continually circulates the air to keep it clean.

    6. How can we make sure that your staff and crew are virus-free?

Our pilots and cabin crew undergo Antigen testing before they are assigned to operate flights. In addition, all CEB personnel providing you service from check-in to arrival shall be wearing personal protective equipment and practicing physical distancing. This is above and beyond what our regulators require, but we have added these measures to provide both employees and guests that extra sense of comfort.

    7. How can I best protect myself?

It is best to always keep your personal hygiene in check. Here are some tips:

      • Carry your personal alcohol/sanitizer to clean your hands after touching any surface.
      • Do not touch your eyes, nose, and mouth if your hands have not been disinfected
      • Always wear a face mask and a face shield when in public. We recommend using a three-ply surgical or N95 mask and a non-tinted face shield that covers the entire face. For added protection, wearing gloves is also recommended.
      • Observe physical distancing.
      • Limit contact with any surfaces.
      • If you’re feeling unwell, consult a medical practitioner immediately.

Also, there are Personal Hygiene Kits for sale, which you can pre-order when you book a flight or buy inflight. The kit contains a face mask, anti-bacterial wipes, and gloves.

    8. Am I required to wear a face mask and face shield?

Yes. All guests entering the airport must always wear a face mask AND a face shield. Only infants who are two (2) years old and below are exempted from this rule. Non-compliance will lead to denied boarding or offloading from the flight.

    9. What type of face mask and face shield are required?

Face masks must securely cover the nose and the mouth to prevent respiratory droplets from being transferred from one guest to another. We highly recommend using a three-ply surgical mask or an N95 mask.

Face shield must cover the entire face, from forehead to chin, and from left cheek to right cheek. Half-sized shields that cover up to the eyes or nose only are not allowed. For security purposes, tinted face shields are discouraged. Guests are encouraged to wear face shields made of lightweight material, so it’s more comfortable to wear throughout the entire travel journey. Guests may also bring wipes or alcohol within the allowable size to disinfect the face shield, as necessary.

    10. How is contact tracing done in the airports?

All airport guests are required to use the Traze mobile app upon entry to the airport, as mandated by the Department of Transportation (Philippines). Guests are encouraged to download and register an account in the Traze contact tracing app prior to arrival at the airport, for a more seamless experience.

Steps to download Traze on your smartphones:

      • Search and download Traze from your mobile store (i.e., Apple App Store or Google Playstore) and install it on your phone. Make sure your mobile store’s country is set to the Philippines.
      • Once installation is complete, open the app and click “Start Trazing” to open the registration page.
      • Click “Register” and make sure to register as “Individual”
      • Follow the instructions and provide the necessary information, then activate your account.

While it is ideal for each guest to have the Traze app installed on the phone, it’s good to note that the Traze app can accommodate up to five (5) profiles at a time. Alternatively, guests who don’t have mobile phones or any other mobile gadget can proceed to the Malasakit Helpdesk at the airport where they will be provided assistance. Click here to learn more.

    11. Can children and senior citizens already travel?

Children and senior citizens may be accepted for flight, provided that all necessary travel documents are presented upon check-in. These travel documents include, but are not limited to the following:

      • Valid government-issued ID
      • Passport (if traveling to international destinations)
      • Valid Senior Citizen ID issued by the Office for Senior Citizen Affairs (OSCA)

Please make sure to check other travel documents that may be required by your destination’s local or international regulations.

    12. Are there any additional requirements when flying?

Please be ready to present the usual requirements of boarding pass and valid ID or passport. Before flying, please check all local government and international regulations of your origin and destination, to ensure compliance to their requirements. Click here to learn more.

    13. How do I know which terminal I should go to for my flight departing from Manila?

Most Cebu Pacific flights departing from Manila shall be operating from Ninoy Aquino International Airport – Terminal 3. Should there be changes to your flight details, we shall send an advisory to your booking’s registered email address, before your flight date.

    14. What can we expect when flying with Cebu Pacific?

    1. What is Test Before Boarding?

Test Before Boarding (TBB) is part of our multi-layered approach to ensure everyone will fly safely and confidently with Cebu Pacific. With TBB, passengers may take an RT-PCR Test the day before their flight or an Antigen Test on the day of their flight, and only those who test negative for COVID-19 will be allowed to fly to their destination.

    2. Is Test Before Boarding required?

No. This is an alternative testing option for all guests on direct flights departing from Manila and bound for destinations that require a negative RT-PCR test result or a negative Antigen test result, such as General Santos and Butuan, starting December 17, 2020.

    3. How much is the test?

The Antigen test is PHP 700, while the RT-PCR test is PHP 3,300 and will be paid directly to Philippine Airport Diagnostic Laboratory (PADLab) on the day of the test. These rates are only applicable to Cebu Pacific flights departing from NAIA Terminal 3.

    4. When are results available?

Results for the Antigen Test will be available after thirty (30) minutes, while for the RT-PCR Test, results will be available after twenty-four (24) hours.

    5. What is an Antigen Test?

An Antigen Test is a type of diagnostic test that detects certain proteins of the COVID-19 virus. It is able to diagnose an active infection and it is done via nasopharyngeal swab test.

    6. What is an RT-PCR Test?

An RT-PCR Test is the gold standard for all tests for COVID-19. It is a real-time test that detects nucleic acid from SARS-CoV-2 and it is done via done via nasopharyngeal swab test.

    7. What if I already have a recent RT-PCR or other COVID-19 test result?

If you already have an RT-PCR test or an Antigen test that follows the requirements of the local government unit of General Santos, then you don’t have to get the Antigen test from CEB’s Test Before Boarding (TBB).

    8. What happens if I don’t undergo the testing procedure?

No worries, as long as you have all requirements for your destination, then you will be allowed to board the flight. Please check bit.ly/CEBTravelDocs for the complete set of travel requirements.

    9. Where is the testing facility located?

The testing facility is in the old Kiss & Fly area, 3rd Floor, Departure Hall of NAIA Terminal 3, near Gate 6. Please look for signs for the Philippine Airport Diagnostic Laboratory.

    10. How should I plan ahead for this?

Please make sure to prepare all travel requirements ahead of time. Visit bit.ly/CEBTravelDocs and your destination’s LGU website to learn more. If a negative RT-PCR test or a negative Antigen test is one of the requirements, you may get it right before your flight via CEB’s Test Before Boarding (TBB). If you choose this TBB option, simply fill out the Electronic Personal Information Form (E-PIF) at www.padlab.ph/DLS/ePIF before you head to the airport.

The testing facility is open twenty-four (24) hours daily. Please make sure to check your flight schedule. Proceed directly to the testing facility located at the old Kiss & Fly area, 3rd Floor, Departure Hall of NAIA Terminal 3, near Gate 6 for your RT-PCR/Antigen Testing proper.

    11. What happens if I don’t make it in time for the test?

If a negative RT-PCR or Antigen test result is required by your destination, then unfortunately, we cannot accept you for the flight. We recommend availing of our voluntary options of either rebooking to another date or converting to a Travel Fund. Note that these are only available up to two (2) hours before the flight through bit.ly/CEBmanageflight.

    12. What happens if I test negative?

You can proceed to the normal procedures of either doing bag drop or going straight to the gate, if you don’t have any checked-in baggage.

If you are traveling with a companion under the same booking reference and he/she has tested positive for COVID-19, you have the following options:

      • Option 1 – Continue with your flight as scheduled.
      • Option 2 – If traveling together is a must, you can postpone your flight and avail of our voluntary cancellation options (rebooking or Travel Fund) via bit.ly/CEBmanangeflight. Make sure to do this no less than two (2) hours before your scheduled time of departure.

    13. What happens if I test positive?

We’re sorry to hear that and we regret to inform you that we cannot accommodate you in your flight. If you got an Antigen Test, we suggest for you to get a confirmatory RT-PCR test, which may be availed on the same day and administered by Philippine Airport Diagnostic Laboratory (PADLab) for only PHP 3,300. If the RT-PCR test is negative and your new flight schedule is within seventy-two (72) hours, there is no need to get an Antigen test again.

Otherwise, you may visit bit.ly/CEBFlightReminders and click on Testing Options for a list of testing centers. You can also apply for refund in full within the next thirty (30) days or convert to Travel Fund through our agent-assisted channels.

    14. If I test positive, but the other passengers in the same booking reference do not, can they still take the flight?

Yes. All passengers who test negative for COVID-19 based on the Antigen Test right before boarding will be allowed to take the flight.

    15. What happens if my flight gets cancelled or moved to another date?

The usual disruption options will be made available.

    16. What happens if I miss my flight?

Unfortunately, this is beyond our control. Should this happen to you, the original flight will be forfeited, and a new flight must be purchased.
